The people of America viewed Macaria as a friend rather than a computer system. When the order came to shut down the remaining God Programs, Macaria's development team defied orders and instead removed her from the communications network. Working together with the disconnected Macaria, they were able to use Macaria's former God Program functions to create a jamming signal that cut communication between Anubis and its drones, postponing Anubis' attack on New York and saving countless lives. Despite this, all appeals to reactivate Macaria since have been rejected.[1]
An in-universe Broadway play titled "Collapse" was made in her honor, depicting Macaria sacrificing herself to stop Anubis out of love for humanity. The actress who played her was nominated for a Tony Award. [1]
