• "Orca" is a common name for the "killer whale". Identically named atmospheric craft exist in the Command and Conquer universe.
• The Orca serves as the spawn point for Control maps except for their Stadium counterparts, Oasis, Busan and Antarctic Peninsula.
• Blackwatch utilized a black Orca designated "ORCA BW-001" for missions.
• In Recall, an Orca craft can be seen on Winston's top left computer monitor.
• The pilot of the Orca was not initially confirmed, although the ship has always had the name Lena "Tracer" Oxton printed on it. However, on the official forums, Jeff Kaplan answered a question about who piloted the Orca with the name "Ray."^[1] Shortly after Jeff's forum post, Michael Chu answered another question about Ray's backstory on Twitter, stating: "Ray can grow a mean beard."^[2]
  • On December 31, 2017 Chu answered the question "Has Ray ever seen actual combat?" with "Ray is in the trenches, every day."^[3]
  • On January 5, 2018 Chu specified that Ray is Ray's first name.^[4]
