Seasons are a feature of Overwatch 2. It is planned that seasonal content will be released every nine weeks.^[1] Each season will have a corresponding Battle Pass with a unique theme, and up to 80+ unlockable tiers of cosmetics.^[2]

Current Season

The current season, Reign of Talon Season 2: Summit, will last from April 15, 2026 to June 16, 2026. It is themed around Talon's attack on Watchpoint: Grand Mesa.

Story Arcs

As announced in the Overwatch Spotlight 2026, each competitive year would now follow story arcs that progressed the lore of Overwatch and provided a start, middle and end. These arcs are split between sections shown below, with all seasons released prior to the first story arc, Reign of Talon, listed under Overwatch 2.

Overwatch 2

Main article: Season/2022-2026

This page covers all seasons from the release in 2022 to 2026, prior to the introduction of Story Arcs. During this time, the game was called Overwatch 2, and each season released was uniquely different from each other, following different themes. The lore covered Null Sector's global invasion, the resurgence of Overwatch and Talon, and introduced various new organizations, characters, and heroes.

Reign of Talon

This page covers all seasons from the Reign of Talon story arc, currently active in 2026. It follows the story of Vendetta's rule of Talon, and her fight against Overwatch in hopes of seizing global power.
