The Practice Range is a map available in Overwatch 2. It is apart of the Training series.
There are no objectives, which makes it a good place to try new heroes, practice skills, and adjust settings. There are nine friendly and nineteen hostile training bots (including the Hero bot) on the map that perform various actions, such as staying still, shooting, and moving. There are also range markers (in meters) on the ground.
Location
It is debated where the location of the facility is. The training facility made an appearance in Uprising, which took place at the Swiss HQ, leading some to believe it is located in Switzerland. However, it's also believed the Watchpoint is located in the northern parts of Russia based on the map in the spawn-room in Watchpoint: Gibraltar on attack.
What is in the practice range?
Bots
In the practice range, many forms of training bots can be found. Some locations allow toggling between bot types by interacting with a nearby console. The following types can be found:
- Training Bot - These bots are in The Firing Range and are used as targets for the aim trainer.
- Friendly Bot - These can only be friendly. Only one can shoot, despite others having weapons, the others do not shoot. They have 200 hit points.
- Standard Bot - These can only be hostile. Only two standard bots have the ability to shoot. The others cannot, despite having weapons. They have 250 hit points.
- Friendly Heavy Bot - These can only be friendly. They have a shield and 200 hit points or they can have 300 hit points.
- Tank Bot - These can only be hostile. They have two different health pools, the one in the area with moving bots has 200 hit points, but the one being shot by the friendly bot has 400 hit points. Each have a shield.
- Sniper Bot - These can only be hostile. It has a lock on sniper (when activated) and 200 hit points.
- Rocket Bot - These can only be hostile. They fire rockets. You can spawn them in by going to the interact panel by the shooting standard bots and interact with it. These have 200 hit points.
- Hero Bot - These can only be hostile. See below for details.

Hero Bot
Hero selector for Hero Bot
An enemy Hero Bot can be found to the left from spawn room entrance. It can be changed to any playable hero in the game usiong the nearby console. While this bot cannot use abilities, passive abilities still apply with the Hero Bot, for example, tanks receive less knockback. Shield health also restores quicker as well, and armour reduction is in effect.
Ultimate Accelerators
Ultimate accelerators are around the map, they instantly give you an ultimate ability once collected. There are currently three on the map: One outside the spawn room to the left, second above the defence section and the last inside the firing range, to the right.
Jump Pads
Jump Pad
There is one jump pad, it is next to the ultimate accelerator near the spawn. This allows you to get on the nearby high ground, otherwise impossible for most heroes.
Sections
Hero bot plateau
To the left from the spawn room entrance, there is an elevated area with a hero bot on the spawn room's side and two standard bots on the opposite side. Toward the edge of the map there is an ultimate accelerator pickup and a jump pad to the high ground.
Defence portion
Travelling down the stairs in front of spawn room takes you to the defence portion. In the defence portion, there is a Friendly Hero Bot that shoots a Tank Bot, neither of which can be changed into different bots. There are also two Standard Bots shooting at two Friendly Bots. Both of these can be changed into Rocket Bots (enemy side) or Friendly Heavy Bots (Friendly side). There is a health pack in the centre, healing 250 hit points. Above the defence portion you can find Sniper Bot and an ultimate accelerator. There is another health pack above the defence portion as well as moving platforms around it. There is a Standard Bot on one of the moving platforms and a single Standard Bot near the edge of the map to the right of the defence portion.

Aiming section
On the right side of the spawn room, there is an exit which leads to a portion with moving targets. Bots here can be changed into friendly and hostile versions. Three Friendly/Standard Bots spawn here, one Heavy Friendly/Tank Bot also spawns here. They all move in a looping pattern. If you swap them to be friendly, they will slowly lose health until they reach a minimum health, where they will no longer lose their health.

The firing range
The firing range is next to the aiming section of the practice range. Its main focus is letting you practice your aim in different ways. There is a hero change terminal inside on your left and on your right, you can chose what settings you want. Only the standard bots will spawn, however, you can chose to have targets instead. You can use ultimate abilities and get the same amount of points as you would on a normal run. With lock on ultimates (Like Soldier: 76), they will still lock on to the targets as well as the bots. There are signs hanging from the ceiling telling you what the distance is out of 40 metres, along the walls, there is the same. You cannot reach behind the terminal that starts the simulation. During the simulation, you can still use the ultimate accelerator in the corner of the room. You can chose how the bots and targets move and at what distance. You cannot select more then one movement pattern or distance, but you can chose the movement pattern to be random. When a player is using the simulation, the door to the practice range will be closed. This is too avoid other players coming in. Your total score is listed at the top left of the screen while your range settings will be at the top right of the screen.

Other rooms and walkways
Outside of spawn, to the left, there are stairs. If you go up them you will be taken to a balcony, there are more stairs to the right and a room to the left. There is a gym before you reach the offense section. It is a green room with dumbbells and punching bags as well as weights. There are lockers and a fridge.
There is also a split walkway to the left of the spawn room. It is not connected to any other part of the practice range nor does it have any bots. There is a health pack located on a platform behind the second satellite tower.

Stadium Practice Range
You can practice Stadium builds in the custom range by selecting the stadium version in the Training menu. You can change your hero build upon selecting hero, changing hero or by holding down your swap hero bind anywhere on the map apart from spawn. All heroes available are complementary to the main mode.
Trivia
- The original loading screen for the Practice Range has three targets in the place of the two training bots, which actually appear in the map.
- One of the lockers in the gym belongs to Winston. We see this with the pictures and jars of peanut butter.
- There is a bug where perks will only be given to the player once level three is achieved.
