Competitive Progression

Competitive Progression is a progression system introduced in Season 9 of Overwatch 2. It replaces Competitive Challenges as an additional source of Competitive Points.

Details

Competitive Progression points are given when one finishes a Competitive Play match. Every match grants progress towards the Competitive Progression meter: a loss or draw grants one point, and a victory grants three. After earning 30 Competitive Progression points, an additional Competitive Points 100 Competitive Points are granted.

Bonus Competitive Points earned through Competitive Progression are capped at Competitive Points 3,000 points per season, which corresponds to 30 full rounds of Competitive Progression. This cap does not affect the base Competitive Points earned from winning and drawing matches. According to Blizzard, the purpose of this cap is to ensure that players are doing the best they can in every Competitive match and not just playing the mode solely to collect Competitive Points that are used to unlock competitive Jade Weapons.[1]
