Playlists are collections of game modes available via the Play menu.
Each game mode in their respective playlist has its own individual queue, but all modes aside from Competitive are cross-play between console and PC.
Available Playlists
Unranked
"Jump into a game against other players of your skill level."
The Unranked playlist contains:
- Quick Play (Role Queue)
- 6v6 Quick Play (Open Queue)
- Mystery Heroes
Competitive
The Competitive playlist.
"Compete against other players and work your way up the ranks."
The Competitive playlist contains:
- Competitive Play (Role Queue)
- 6v6 Competitive Play (Open Queue)
This playlist also includes the information panels for Competitive Progress, the Top 500 Leaderboard, and the Competitive Tier Legend.
Stadium
“Customize your hero and fight your way up the ranks“
Stadium is a game mode in Overwatch 2, released in Season 16, with the Quick Play mode added at the begging of Season 18.
The Stadium playlist contains:
- Quick Play (Role Queue)
- Competitive (Role Queue)
Arcade
"New game modes! New rules! New maps! Enter the Arcade."
The Arcade playlist contains 7 modes:
- No Limits
- The current event game mode(s), if there is an ongoing event.
- The remaining modes are chosen at random from the Arcade mode pool, and rotate daily.
Others

The Others playlist contains:
- Tutorial
- Practice Range
- Practice Stadium
- Practice vs. AI
- Missions
- Custom Games
Removed Playlists

These playlists were previously available via the play menu, but have since been removed from the game and/or replaced.
- Weekly Brawl (replaced by Arcade in 2016)
- Game Browser (replaced by Custom Games)
- Custom Games (moved to the Others playlist at the start of the 2026 Season 1)
- Missions (moved to the Others playlist at the start of the 2026 Season 1)
- Hero Mastery (removed at the start of Season 19)
